Dr. Gleacher is a Cognitive Behavior Therapist and has been working with children and families in Westchester and New York City for over 12 years.  

 

 
 

ABOUT ALISSA A. GLEACHER:

Previously, Dr. Gleacher worked as a senior psychologist with the Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Research in White Plains, NY. She has also held faculty positions at New York University Child Study Center and Columbia University. Dr. Gleacher is still a voluntary faculty member at New York University Child Study Center where she works with the IDEAS Center and the NYS Evidence Based Treatment Dissemination Center conducting trainings and consultation with clinicians across the state in Evidence-Based Treatments for children and adolescents. Dr. Gleacher has also provided clinical treatment at the prestigious NYU Child Study Center and at the Columbia University Clinic for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CUCARD). Through her training and consultation efforts in New York State, thousands of clinicians have been trained in evidence-based treatments for childhood disorders including and in evidence-based treatment techniques.

Dr. Gleacher received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and completed her predoctoral internship in Los Angeles. Dr. Gleacher came to New York in 2005 to spearhead the development of the Evidence Based Treatment Dissemination Center.
